Though the matches are played in Kent Ridge, BTC buses provide a straight shuttle service all the way to KRC, where the Sports and Recreation Centre is a mere stone’s throw away from the bus stop! Alternatively, the Circle Line can prove to be pretty convenient as well.

Do come to cheer your friends and schoolmates on! All our teams could gladly use the additional encouragement to fuel their murderous desire to bring Medicine DOWN.

***For the much-anticipated debate finale, we will be chartering 2 buses (45 pax each) to MD6 LT 35 & LT 36. The buses will be leaving at 5.15pm on Friday, 17th Feb.

With exams over and Law-Med games just around the corner, it’s about time we have some nifty new merchandise!

Wouldn’t it be great if we have some sort of sports merchandise for our athletes to don and parade and for our school spirit to really shine through? And nothing hollers school spirit like a powerful, vibrant logo that is just bursting with moxie!

(No worries, the current crest that we have (as seen on our Law-med 2011 shirts and other school merchandise) will still be our official logo!)

Because we love food (and know that you love it too), here are more exclusive promotions to make your tastebuds and tummies happy (: These are available at The Dunearn at the Bukit Timah Guild House, which is just across the road from the Summit!

The following Terms & Conditions apply for the above promotions:
1) Law Faculty students have to present their NUS Matriculation Card to the BTGH staff to enjoy the promotions.
2) The Dunearn’s Smart-Casual Dress Code applies to all students.
3) The same lunch hours at the Dunearn as indicated on the NUSS website applies for the Set Lunch (i.e. 11:30am to 3pm).

The Law Fraternity Games is an annual event that involves a (friendly) face-off against SMU (the other law school) and Law Society in a variety of sports. This year it was played on 21st, 22nd and 23rd October at SMU and CCAB.

32nd Law Club Presented: MAF Chill Out, a Mid-Autumn Festival-themed Chill Out.

Pomelo Eating Competition
Teams of 5 competed against each other to peel and consume 3 pomelos.

Chinese Chess Showdown
The name speaks for itself! Participants were pitted against each other in the preliminary rounds. The final 2 participants participated in the finals which will be held in the Upper Quad. We had a life-sized chess set (props and costumes included!).

Deng Mi (literally translated: lantern riddle)
A Deng Mi is a traditional Chinese riddle. Unlike Traditional Deng Mis, our Deng Mis were in English to allow for maximum participation (: Prizes were given out for each Deng Mi correctly guessed.

The 31st Management Committee (MC) has officially passed on the baton to the 32nd MC. At this juncture I would like to say a big ‘THANK YOU’ to Yong Neng, Junyi, Yuan Kheng, Zi Han, Hariz, Nicholas, Lisa, Subhi and Eddy (who has kindly agreed to stay on as our advisor). Thank you for your hard work, dedication and all the contributions you have made to the school.

Moving forward, the 32nd MC will work hard to keep up the good work and to build on the links and initiatives that have been put in place. To facilitate that process we will be conducting a school-wide survey to gather your feedback on further improvements and initiatives that you would like to see.

We hope you will continue to support the 32nd MC in the next academic year and stay tuned for another exciting year of events!

1. Additional Food Promotions
In our bid to provide you with more food (and drinks) options, the Law Club MC has recently concluded talks with the Bukit Timah Guild House, Black Angus and Chinese Box.

The following promotions will be extended to all NUS Law Students!:

1.1 Guild House
As part of our collaboration with the Guild House, NUSS will be extending the following 3 promotions to NUS Law students.

i. Student set lunch (11.30am – 3pm) – Set Lunch at $15 for a 2-course meal (Choice of Appetizer or Soup or Dessert with the Main Course + Coffee/tea – the menu is available here).

ii. Happy Hour Promotion (bacardi breezer at $7.60 per bottle, tiger draft beer at $4.50 a mug and others as advertised here) + 10% service charge waive for Law students.

iii. Wine promotion (the wine promotions offered at all Guild Houses and the ones offered at BTGH only)

Do also take note that you will have to present your Matriculation Card to enjoy the promotions.
The Guild House also has a smart-casual dress code and all three promotions are only valid for 3 months (starting from 1 February to 30 April 2011)

1.2 Black Angus & Chinese Box
All law students will get the 10% service charge waived upon presentation of Matriculation Card.

2. Food Hygiene and Feedback
Following your complains and feedback, both NEA and the school authorities have stepped up their checks of the Summit. If you still find the hygiene standards unsatisfactory, and/or find yourself munching on insects, please inform us (via e-mail or the second feedback form) immediately so we can get the relevant authorities to conduct spot-checks.

We also hope that you find the new stalls at the Summit an improvement from last year. The addition of the new food stalls is the result of feedback given by the last Law Club MC and our Welfare Secretary, so we hope you will continue to let us know what you think – whether you like the new promotions or if there are other things you feel that this Law Club should undertake to improve your “dining experience” here.
